Job Overview/Summary:
The Workday Reporting, Integrations, and Technical Lead will play a key role in supporting the implementation of Workday Finance, HCM, and Payroll for the State of Rhode Island. The role involves designing and managing Workday reporting, integration, and analytics solutions, while ensuring accurate data governance and actionable insights. The lead will also assist the State’s current Oracle EBS technical team and guide the transition to Workday.

Responsibilities:

  • Workday Reporting:

    • Develop and maintain complex Workday reports and dashboards, including calculated fields, report groups, and discovery boards.
    • Review and improve current reporting solutions, develop new reports as needed, and support bi-annual Workday upgrades.
    • Lead Prism strategy, develop metrics, and establish checkpoints on business performance insights.
    • Perform UAT, ensure accuracy in reporting, and develop documentation around data structures and reporting processes.
    • Implement data governance policies for reporting across Finance, HCM, and Payroll.
  • Workday Integrations:

    • Architect, design, and implement Workday integrations with third-party systems, ensuring scalability and data integrity.
    • Lead design sessions to identify and implement integration processes, improve data quality, and monitor technology changes.
    • Troubleshoot and support Workday inbound and outbound integration issues, including system performance and break/fix tasks.
    • Develop new integrations and manage unit and system tests for integrations.
    • Ensure smooth coordination with Oracle EBS for specific integration needs.
  • Oracle EBS Developer (20%):

    • Provide technical support for Oracle Financials and assist in developing custom forms and reports.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve Oracle EBS issues and work with Oracle Support as needed.
    • Assist in Oracle Financials, Procurement, and Accounts processes as required.

Primary Skills:

  • 5+ years of experience in Workday Finance, HCM, and Payroll reporting and integrations.
  • Proficiency in Workday Studio, EIBs, BIRT, Core Connectors, ISU, ISSG, and Report Writer.
  • Strong experience in Workday Prism Analytics and developing data-driven metrics and reports.
  • Expertise in Workday data structures, governance, and security group management.
  • Experience in Finance data analysis, integration security, and system configuration.

Secondary Skills (Good to Have):

  • 3+ years of experience as an Oracle EBS Developer, especially in OAF, Java J-Developer, and ISG SOAP/REST interfaces.
  • Knowledge of Oracle Financials and related modules.
  • Familiarity with Workday certifications, Workday Extend, and Jira/Confluence tools.
  • Experience with Agile Scrum methodology and ServiceNow.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Workday certification is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand and transform complex business requirements into functional solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and lead technical discussions.
