Job Overview/Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Wellness Technician to support health promotion initiatives and wellness programs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in public health or related disciplines, hands-on clinical experience, and the ability to effectively educate and engage adult learners in health and wellness topics.
Responsibilities:
Deliver wellness education sessions and training programs for adult learners
Support health screenings and clinical wellness initiatives
Assist in developing and implementing health promotion activities
Provide guidance on fitness, nutrition, and overall health management
Maintain accurate documentation of program activities and participant engagement
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance wellness outcomes
Primary Skills:
Strong instructional and presentation skills for adult learners
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Knowledge of health promotion, public health, and wellness practices
Ability to conduct or support clinical wellness activities
Minimum 2 years of experience in health, wellness, fitness, or related field
Secondary Skills (Good to Have):
Phlebotomy Certification
CPR Instructor Certification
CHES (Certified Health Education Specialist) Certification
Fitness, Dietetics, or Health Coaching Certification
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Education, Public Health, Health Management, or related field (Required)
Applicable clinical experience
Demonstrated ability to teach and work effectively with adult learners
Minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience in health, wellness, or fitness
