Job Overview/Summary:
The WebMethods Developer will serve as the Service Lead for WebMethods/GXS, overseeing and maintaining critical applications within the ASM framework. This role requires leadership in various service operation processes and technical expertise in API gateways, WebMethods integration, security practices, and documentation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). The position will be responsible for configuring and managing SOAP-based APIs, REST APIs, and ensuring secure and efficient data transmission across systems.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain critical applications in the ASM framework, particularly WebMethods and Gateway-related processes.
- Provide application support, including incident management, configuration, change and release management, and documentation of SOPs for integration issues.
- Ensure secure and efficient API configurations, including SOAP-based, REST, and WebSocket APIs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address technical issues, implement solutions, and document best practices.
- Lead security practices for API governance, OAuth2, API keys, access control, and threat protection.
- Troubleshoot integration issues related to WebMethods and gateway components.
- Develop and deploy CI/CD pipelines, ensuring consistent and reliable service development and integration.
Primary Skills:
- Proficiency in WebMethods Integration Server and API Gateway management.
- Expertise in configuring and managing SOAP-based APIs, REST APIs, and WebSocket APIs.
- Strong understanding of API security protocols, including OAuth2, API keys, and threat protection.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java and shell scripting (Linux).
- Networking protocol knowledge: TCP/IP, SMTP, HTTP, FTP, SOAP, and AS2.
Secondary Skills (Good to Have):
- Familiarity with APIGEE, Java, and Kafka.
- Experience with WebMethods integration with mainframe systems, Salesforce, or Google Cloud.
- Experience with RDBMS systems such as Oracle or SQL Server.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience working with WebMethods, API Gateway, and related tools.
- Proven experience in API security and governance.
- Strong documentation and problem-solving skills.
