Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Network Security Specialist with a focus on Web Application Firewalls (WAF) to join our global Network Security team. The successful candidate will work closely with the WAF team to migrate a suite of 5000 hosted applications to WAF, manage post-migration activities, and implement best web security practices.

The successful candidate will work closely with the WAF team to migrate a suite of 5000 hosted applications to WAF, manage post-migration activities, and implement best web security practices.
Key Responsibilities:
WAF Migration: Collaborate with global tech functions to migrate 5000 hosted applications to WAF, starting with an initial batch of 100 domain names.
Post-Migration Management: Review logs, implement tuning, and enforce web blocking as necessary after migration.
IP Address/FQDN Mapping: Map IP addresses and Fully Qualified Domain Names (FQDNs) to services and applications, working as a Business Analyst (BA).
Data Collection: Liaise with service owners and associated teams to gather relevant application data for WAF migration purposes (BA).
Web Behavior Analysis: Analyze web behavior and performance to establish acceptable application thresholds as a Subject Matter Expert (SME).
Policy Tuning: Perform policy tuning in accordance with performance baselining (SME).
Enforcement Mode Transition: Transition WAF from transparent to enforcement mode (SME).
Data Cleansing: Perform data cleansing and validation activities.
Web Network Security: Provide hands-on expertise in web network security and WAF.
Onboarding Web Services: Onboard web services into WAF (Akamai) platforms in monitoring/transparent mode (SME).
Vulnerability Analysis: Identify vulnerabilities in WAF logs and implement solutions.
Best Practices Implementation: Implement best web security practices.

Akamai or Similar Platform Experience: Proficiency with Akamai or similar platforms such as Radware, Kona Site Defender, etc.
Consultative Expertise: Demonstrated ability to act as a consultative SME, providing guidance and best practices.
WAF Onboarding Experience: Proven experience in onboarding web services into WAF platforms in monitoring/transparent mode.
Vulnerability Identification: Ability to find and address vulnerabilities identified in WAF logs.
Best Security Practices: Strong knowledge of and experience in implementing best web security practices.
