Job Overview/Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Vascular Ultrasound Technologist to perform venous-focused diagnostic studies and assist with ultrasound-guided vascular procedures. This role is ideal for a professional who excels in patient care, technical accuracy, and collaborative clinical environments.
Responsibilities:
Perform venous reflux studies, venous mapping, and limited arterial examinations as ordered
Prepare patients for ultrasound examinations and explain procedures in a clear, reassuring manner
Accurately measure, document, and record diagnostic findings for physician interpretation
Assist physicians during ultrasound-guided vein procedures, including endovenous ablation and sclerotherapy
Ensure ultrasound equipment is properly maintained, calibrated, and ready for use
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe ultrasound room
Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to support efficient patient flow
Adhere to all HIPAA, safety, and infection-control protocols
Primary Skills:
Venous reflux studies and venous mapping
Vascular ultrasound imaging and measurement techniques
Ultrasound-guided procedural assistance
Accurate documentation and reporting
Secondary Skills (Good to Have):
Limited arterial ultrasound examinations
EMR/EHR system experience
Workflow coordination in a busy clinical setting
Qualifications:
RVT or RVS certification required
1–2+ years of vascular ultrasound experience (venous experience strongly preferred)
Strong understanding of venous anatomy, pathology, and reflux protocols
Excellent patient-care, communication, and interpersonal skills
Detail-oriented, organized, and adaptable
