Job Overview/Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Behavioral Health Therapist to join our team. This individual will provide high-quality therapeutic care to individuals experiencing mental health and/or substance use challenges in various treatment settings including inpatient, outpatient, and hospital-based programs. This role plays a vital part in promoting patient wellness, recovery, and resilience.
Responsibilities:
Provide assessments, diagnosis, and treatment planning for individuals with behavioral health and/or substance use disorders
Deliver evidence-based individual, group, and family therapy sessions
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure holistic, patient-centered care
Complete required documentation in a timely and accurate manner
Utilize de-escalation and crisis intervention techniques as needed
Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical and legal standards
Primary Skills:
Strong therapeutic and diagnostic skills
Proficiency in delivering individual and group therapy
Knowledge of behavioral health conditions and treatment modalities
Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
Secondary Skills (Good to Have):
Experience in hospital-based behavioral health settings
Certification as Involuntary Commitment Examiner
Notary Public designation
Qualifications:
Education: Master's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or related field (required)
Experience: Minimum of two years working with individuals with mental health and/or substance use disorders (required)
Licensure/Certification:
Licensed Clinical Mental Health Clinician, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, or Clinical Psychologist (required for most roles)
For Substance Use Therapist roles: Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist or Associate (required)
State-approved curricula for restrictive interventions within 3 months of hire (exceptions apply)
NEC0170 training for outpatient clinicians within 3 months (required)
Involuntary Commitment Examiner (preferred for Inpatient; required for Access within 1 year)
Notary Public (preferred)
