Job Overview/Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Behavioral Health Therapist to join our team. This individual will provide high-quality therapeutic care to individuals experiencing mental health and/or substance use challenges in various treatment settings including inpatient, outpatient, and hospital-based programs. This role plays a vital part in promoting patient wellness, recovery, and resilience.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide assessments, diagnosis, and treatment planning for individuals with behavioral health and/or substance use disorders

  • Deliver evidence-based individual, group, and family therapy sessions

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure holistic, patient-centered care

  • Complete required documentation in a timely and accurate manner

  • Utilize de-escalation and crisis intervention techniques as needed

  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical and legal standards

Primary Skills:

  • Strong therapeutic and diagnostic skills

  • Proficiency in delivering individual and group therapy

  • Knowledge of behavioral health conditions and treatment modalities

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills

Secondary Skills (Good to Have):

  • Experience in hospital-based behavioral health settings

  • Certification as Involuntary Commitment Examiner

  • Notary Public designation

Qualifications:

  • Education: Master's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or related field (required)

  • Experience: Minimum of two years working with individuals with mental health and/or substance use disorders (required)

  • Licensure/Certification:

    • Licensed Clinical Mental Health Clinician, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, or Clinical Psychologist (required for most roles)

    • For Substance Use Therapist roles: Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist or Associate (required)

    • State-approved curricula for restrictive interventions within 3 months of hire (exceptions apply)

    • NEC0170 training for outpatient clinicians within 3 months (required)

    • Involuntary Commitment Examiner (preferred for Inpatient; required for Access within 1 year)

    • Notary Public (preferred)
