Job Description:
As a Terraform Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing and automating infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and management processes using Terraform. You will collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure efficient and reliable infrastructure deployment, supporting the organization's goals for scalability, reliability, and security.
 
Key Responsibilities:
Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Design and Development:
Develop, maintain, and improve Terraform configurations to automate infrastructure provisioning.
Define infrastructure components (e.g., virtual machines, networks, databases) in Terraform code.
Version Control and Collaboration:
Manage Terraform configurations using version control systems like Git.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with project requirements.
Infrastructure Automation:
Create reusable Terraform modules to standardize infrastructure provisioning.
Implement automation pipelines for continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) of infrastructure changes.
Cloud Provider Expertise:
Work with various cloud providers (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and provision resources according to best practices.
Security and Compliance:
Ensure infrastructure configurations comply with security and compliance standards.
Implement security best practices, such as encryption, access control, and audit logging.
Monitoring and Optimization:
Monitor infrastructure performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize resource usage.
Implement auto-scaling and resource cost management where applicable.
Documentation and Knowledge Sharing:
Create and maintain documentation for infrastructure configurations and best practices.
Share knowledge with team members and contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives.
Scripting and Automation:
Use scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python) to automate tasks and extend Terraform functionality.
 
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Strong experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) concepts.
Proficiency in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
Experience with version control systems, CI/CD pipelines, and automation tools.
Knowledge of networking, security, and infrastructure architecture.
Scripting and programming skills.
Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
