Job Overview/Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Sterile Processing Technician to join our healthcare team. This role is critical to maintaining high standards of safety and cleanliness for surgical instruments and patient care equipment.
Responsibilities:
Possess working knowledge of surgical instruments and central sterile equipment and techniques
Receive, clean, process, assemble, and distribute medical supplies and equipment
Handle, transport, pull, and store sterile surgical instruments and equipment
Acquire, distribute, and charge disposable supplies and patient rental equipment
Sterilize reusable equipment, supplies, and surgical instrumentation
Primary Skills:
Knowledge of sterilization techniques and surgical instruments
Ability to follow safety and sanitation protocols
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Secondary Skills (Good to Have):
Familiarity with electronic inventory and sterilization tracking systems
Experience in high-volume surgical environments
Qualifications:
Successful completion of a Central Sterile Supply Certification Program
Previous experience as a central sterile technician preferred
Certified Registered Central Service Technician (IAHCSMM) or CRCST certification required
