Job Overview/Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Staff Nurse Specialty Care – ICU to join a fast-paced, patient-focused team. The role requires delivering exceptional critical care to patients in the ICU, ensuring compliance with clinical protocols, and collaborating closely with healthcare teams to achieve the best patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:

Provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU.

Monitor patient conditions, administer medications, and operate specialized medical equipment.

Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans.

Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.

Adhere to infection control, safety, and hospital policies.

Assist in training and mentoring new nursing staff.
Primary Skills:
-
Strong clinical knowledge and patient care skills in critical care/ICU settings.

Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Ability to remain calm and effective in high-pressure situations.
Secondary Skills (Good to Have):

Experience with CCRN certification standards.

Familiarity with advanced critical care technology and procedures.
Qualifications:

Minimum Required:
-
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
-
Current New York State Registered Nurse License.
-
CPR certification within 3 months of hire.
-
ACLS certification within one year of hire.
-
PALS certification within one year of hire.

Preferred:
-
Bachelor’s of Science degree in Nursing (BSN).

Previous clinical nursing experience in acute care or ambulatory settings.

CCRN certification.

Work Environment:

Work performed in both office and patient care areas.

Frequent walking, standing, bending, and lifting.

Fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.

Exposure to cleaning solutions, disinfectants, and other hospital materials.

PPE (eyewear, masks, face shields, shoe covers, gloves) required per hospital infection control policies.
