Job Overview:
The successful applicants will be performing operational remediation and coordination work for various SRE teams. The primary responsibility will be to assess and remediate security vulnerabilities within Meraki's AWS Kubernetes systems, networks, and applications. You will work closely with our Vulnerability Management team and the SRE teams to ensure that identified vulnerabilities are promptly remediated to protect our assets and data from potential threats.
 
Responsibilities:
Own the remediation of security vulnerability tickets for our commercial and federal environments.
Ensure that the tickets are remediated within SLA.
Identify gaps and suggest improvements to the triage and remediation process.
Provide weekly updates to management about the progress of remediation efforts and highlight risks.
 
Primary Skills:
Strong experience working in cloud-based infrastructure, with an emphasis on AWS.
Proficiency in Kubernetes and Docker, including the Docker file format.
Experience working with Linux-based infrastructure and Shell scripting.
In-depth understanding of compliance programs (PCI-DSS, FedRAMP, SOC1/2, etc.) and security frameworks/standards (NIST SP800, CSF, etc.).
 
Secondary Skills:
Experience or willingness to work in an agile environment (Scrum, Kanban, etc.).
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Excellent interpersonal communication skills with strong spoken and written English skills.
 
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
5+ years of experience working in cloud-based infrastructure, particularly with container lifecycles such as image builds and deployments.
5+ years of experience with Linux-based infrastructure, including Shell scripting.
