Job Overview/Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced Sr QA Engineer for a 12+ month contract role based in Santa Clara, CA. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience and expertise in quality engineering (QE), specializing in automation tools for both UI and API testing. This role will involve building test automation frameworks, scripting, scheduling, and reporting via GitLab.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain test automation frameworks using Selenium, Cucumber, Java, Maven, and Appium
• Execute UI and API testing using automated testing tools
• Collaborate with development teams in Agile, Scrum, and Kanban environments
• Schedule and report automated tests using GitLab
• Support continuous improvement of testing methodologies such as TDD and BDD
• Execute both manual and automated testing to identify and document defects

Primary Skills:

• 10+ years of QA/QE experience
• Expertise in Selenium, WebDriver, Cucumber, Java, Maven
• Proficiency in test automation for both UI and API testing
• Strong experience in GitLab for automation scripting, scheduling, and reporting
• Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, and Kanban methodologies
• Experience with Appium for mobile testing

Secondary Skills (Good to Have):

• Basic knowledge of JavaScript
• Experience with Python (a plus)
• Knowledge of TDD, BDD testing methodologies

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience as a QA Engineer, focusing on automation testing
• Hands-on experience with test automation tools and building automation frameworks
• Familiarity with software development life cycle (SDLC)
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
