Job Overview:
As a Splunk Technologist, you will be responsible for administering the Splunk cloud platform, ensuring it is always available and in optimal condition. You will guide level 1 and level 2 Splunk engineers, maintain SOPs, and continuously improve the Splunk service's security and observability capabilities.
 
Responsibilities:
Administer and maintain the Splunk cloud platform.
Guide level 1 and level 2 engineers in managing the platform.
Ensure SOPs are updated and well-maintained.
Continuously improve the security and functionality of the Splunk service.
Develop and implement improvements in Splunk's observability capabilities.
 
Required Qualifications:
Over 10 years of experience in Splunk administration.
Over 3 years of experience in Splunk Cloud administration.
Over 5 years of experience in Syslog.
Over 5 years of experience in Linux.
Over 3 years of experience in Splunk Observability or equivalent.
Capability to develop Splunk dashboards for administrative purposes.
 
Preferred Qualifications:
Good knowledge of Enterprise IT Infrastructure.
Familiarity with Splunk Enterprise Security and related areas.
Strong skills in fine-tuning searches and performance optimization.
Willingness to work flexible hours to accommodate a global team.
Willingness to work long hours during service outages.
 
Skills:
Strong communication skills for clearly articulating ideas.
Excellent collaboration skills to work with different business functions and create value.
