Job Overview/Summary:
As a Splunk/Cribl Developer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing Cribl pipelines, integrating Cribl with Splunk, and optimizing performance. You will be troubleshooting issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring seamless integration with various data sources and destinations. This role requires a deep understanding of Cribl’s data processing capabilities and experience with Splunk architecture and administration.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement Cribl pipelines for data processing and enrichment
- Integrate Cribl with various data sources and destinations, including Splunk
- Optimize Cribl performance and troubleshoot any arising issues
- Collaborate with teams to ensure seamless data flow and system functionality
- Stay updated on Cribl and Splunk technologies to ensure best practices are followed
- Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
Primary Skills:
- Deep understanding of Cribl’s data processing and enrichment capabilities
- Familiarity with Splunk architecture, search processing language (SPL), and administration
- Proficiency in scripting languages like Python and PowerShell
- Experience with automation tools for infrastructure management
Secondary Skills (Good to Have):
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with other log management tools
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in Cribl and Splunk integration and management
- Proficiency in scripting and automation for data and infrastructure tasks
- Ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences
