Job Overview/Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Small Animal Veterinarian (General Practice) to join a well-established veterinary team in Irving, TX. The ideal candidate will be proficient in general medicine, surgery, and dentistry, with a strong commitment to delivering exceptional patient care. Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive medical, surgical, and dental care to small animal patients.

Perform routine examinations, diagnostic testing, and treatment planning.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical records.

Communicate effectively with clients to provide education and guidance on pet health.

Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure quality care.

Participate in ongoing professional development and continuing education.
Primary Skills:

Proficiency in general medicine, surgery, and dentistry.

Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.

Excellent communication and client service skills.

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
Secondary Skills (Good to Have):

Experience mentoring veterinary staff or working in a collaborative multi-DVM setting.

Interest in specialized procedures or advanced veterinary medicine.

Familiarity with practice management software.
Qualifications:

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) degree or equivalent from an accredited university.

Active state veterinary license (or eligibility to obtain one).

Current DEA License preferred but not required.

USDA Accreditation preferred but not required.
