Job Overview/Summary:

We are seeking a Senior Therapeutic Area Specialist (TAS) with a focus in Hematology to promote and support the use of approved BMS pharmaceutical products in the oncology/hematology space. The TAS will serve as a scientific expert and trusted partner to healthcare professionals (HCPs), providing high-quality engagement, education, and clinical insight across a designated territory. The role requires a deep understanding of oncology treatment pathways, strong relationship management, and expertise in data analysis and account strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote BMS hematology/oncology products to meet or exceed territory sales goals in a compliant and ethical manner.

  • Develop and execute territory and account plans to drive product adoption and build long-term HCP relationships.

  • Deliver compelling, scientifically accurate product presentations and educational sessions, including in-office and speaker programs.

  • Maintain high-level expertise on disease states, products, and emerging clinical data.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, medical, and commercial teams to ensure exceptional customer experience.

  • Analyze market data, prescribing patterns, and HCP preferences to refine engagement strategies using platforms such as CE³.

  • Respond to HCP inquiries using Medical on Call support, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of information.

  • Ensure all promotional activities comply with BMS policies and applicable regulations.

  • Provide feedback and insights to internal stakeholders to shape future strategy and product positioning.

Primary Skills:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of oncology/hematology therapeutic area, patient journey, and treatment options

  • Expertise in scientific communication and clinical education

  • Data-driven decision-making and dynamic call planning using CE³ or similar CRM platforms

  • Strong business acumen and account management capabilities

  • Skilled in digital tools and remote engagement (email, virtual meetings, mobile CRM)

  • Deep commitment to patient care, customer service, and compliance

Secondary Skills (Good to Have):

  • Experience supporting speaker programs and continuing education initiatives

  • Familiarity with the use of AI/tech platforms in healthcare engagement

  • Understanding of payer landscape and market access strategy

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced scientific degree preferred

  • Minimum 5+ years in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry in sales, MSL, or HCP roles

  • Oncology/Hematology experience is required

  • Proven track record of exceeding sales goals and maintaining strong HCP relationships

  • High proficiency in communication, data analysis, presentation, and CRM use

  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as required within assigned territory
