Job Overview/Summary:
The Scheduler – Patient Services is responsible for coordinating clinical staff schedules to ensure timely and efficient patient care delivery. This role plays a critical part in maintaining regulatory compliance, optimizing workflow, and supporting both patients and clinical teams through effective communication and organization.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate clinical employee schedules based on patient needs and prescribed care requirements
- Manage scheduling reports and communicate patient updates to appropriate staff
- Ensure timely initiation of care in compliance with regulatory standards
- Collaborate with Account Executives and Clinical Supervisors to address patient needs
- Maintain accurate scheduling records and documentation
- Perform duties in accordance with organizational policies, procedures, and HIPAA regulations
Primary Skills:
- Strong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
- Organizational and time management abilities
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Secondary Skills (Good to Have):
- Knowledge of medical terminology or general healthcare background
- Experience in healthcare scheduling or patient coordination
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Additional education or certifications in healthcare administration (preferred)
