Job Overview/Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated Reliability Engineer to join our team. This role will support the creation and implementation of robust, scalable, and intelligent reliability solutions across software systems. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in DevSecOps practices, infrastructure automation, and AI/ML-driven operations with a focus on driving operational excellence.
Responsibilities:

Assist in the use of best-in-class software engineering standards and design practices for instrumenting the code/application stack to generate metrics on availability, performance, quality, currency, and resiliency.

Support architecture and engineering teams to influence technical strategy across functions.

Serve as a technical leader on applications supported, demonstrating deep cross-functional technical expertise.
DevSecOps Solution Responsibilities:

Develop tooling, alerts, and automation mechanisms to identify and resolve reliability risks.

Enhance delivery flow while ensuring compliance with tech standards.

Drive automation and self-healing capabilities for long-term reliability and cost efficiency.

Promote and implement innovative technologies and practices.
IT Ops Responsibilities:

Lead and support high-impact incident response and restoration.

Collaborate with infrastructure teams on intelligent incident routing and monitoring automation.

Maintain continuity and accurate metadata for Hartford and third-party assets.
AI-Driven Automation:
-
Implement AI-based anomaly detection and preventive automation.

Build AI/LLM-powered tools to speed up incident response and analysis.
-
Use AI/ML runbooks for automated recovery and performance optimization.
Primary Skills:

Observability tools: Splunk, Dynatrace, CloudWatch

Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, CloudFormation

CI/CD automation and DevSecOps best practices

Cloud and Kubernetes microservices environments

Scripting and automation in Python and Java

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

3+ years in Infrastructure Engineering, SRE, or DevOps
