Job Overview/Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Registered Dietitian to provide individualized and group nutritional counseling and education to pediatric and adult populations. The ideal candidate will have experience in developing wellness programs, promoting health, and working with diverse populations. This role is integral in supporting our Health Promotion Disease Prevention (HPDP) initiatives and fostering strong community partnerships.
Responsibilities:
Teach nutrition counseling and physical activity curriculum to pediatric, adult, and family populations
Assess behavior and eating habits; perform Point of Care testing (blood pressure, A1C, lipids)
Develop and initiate therapeutic interventions aligned with patient needs
Plan, execute, and evaluate one-on-one and group health education programs
Apply knowledge of personal nutrition, anatomy, and exercise physiology
Coordinate and evaluate community wellness programs
Perform data entry, report preparation, and develop evaluation instruments for different age groups
Establish and maintain community partnerships for HPDP programs
Present health-related information to external organizations
Attend staff meetings, conferences, and CME events as required
Refer patients to appropriate outside services (e.g., Behavioral Health, Public Health)
Supervise student interns and health-related projects as needed
Primary Skills:
Strong knowledge of nutrition education and counseling
Expertise in designing and evaluating health education programs
Proficiency with data reporting and evaluation tools
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Secondary Skills (Good to Have):
Certified in Pediatric, Adolescent, and/or Adult Weight Management
Experience with clinical nutrition interventions in oncology, women’s health, senior populations, or disease-specific conditions
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Dietetics or Nutritional Sciences
Registered Dietitian (RD) and Licensed Dietitian (LD) credentials required
Current Food Handlers Certification
Current CPR Certification
Experience in nutrition education and clinical counseling preferred
