Job Overview:
The Product Designer is a strategic, articulate, and extremely well-organized key role within the Digital Creative Team. This individual is a natural collaborator and an excellent communicator, able to develop and present design ideas in a large team environment. They will work closely with cross-functional teams such as e-commerce, IT, Brand Marketing, Loyalty, and third-party partners. The Product Designer possesses extraordinary visual and user interface design skills, as well as user-centered design principles. They have an affinity for consistency, color use, typography, and a keen eye for subtle details. While exercising a good eye for aesthetics, they can grasp and distill highly complex issues and translate them into clean, focused, understandable solutions. Strong communication skills and the ability to stay highly organized are critical. They should be a self-starter, self-motivated, able to work independently, and perform multiple tasks under minimal supervision.
 
Responsibilities:
Develop and present design ideas in a large team environment.
Work closely with cross-functional teams such as e-commerce, IT, Brand Marketing, Loyalty, and third-party partners.
Demonstrate extraordinary visual and user interface design skills, as well as user-centered design principles.
Ensure consistency in color use, typography, and other design elements.
Translate highly complex issues into clean, focused, understandable solutions.
Communicate design concepts through sketches and wireframes.
Create unique design elements and experiences with strong typography and layout hierarchy skills.
Understand user experience and interaction design across all digital platforms.
Deliver solid work on tight schedules.
Clearly communicate concepts and designs through sketches, wireframes, high-fidelity comps, and prototypes.
Perform quality assurance testing on existing and new features (QA/UAT).
Function independently and in a team environment with solid collaboration skills.
Participate in iterative design processes inspired by group critique.
 
Primary Skills:
Strong online design portfolio.
Great eye for detail and creative, innovative problem-solving.
Ability to communicate design concepts through sketches and wireframes.

Secondary Skills:
Previous experience working in an e-commerce or retail environment.
 
Qualifications:
3+ years of work experience with a focus on product design and UI across various platforms including web and app (iOS & Android).
Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design, Media Arts, or similar.
Intermediate to advanced level skills with Sketch, InVision, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Suite.
Passion for the client, its products, and its guests.
