Job Overview:
The Principal Architect will support the development of an enterprise-wide architecture strategy and be responsible for developing and implementing an architecture roadmap for Product, Planning & Corporate Functions domains. This role involves close collaboration with architects, engineers, developers, and business stakeholders on cross-functional initiatives that shape the future state technology landscape. The Principal Architect will drive a cloud-first architecture standard and ensure that solutions are sustainable, high-performing, and scalable.
The Principal Architect will support the development of an enterprise-wide architecture strategy and be responsible for developing and implementing an architecture roadmap for Product, Planning & Corporate Functions domains. This role involves close collaboration with architects, engineers, developers, and business stakeholders on cross-functional initiatives that shape the future state technology landscape. The Principal Architect will drive a cloud-first architecture standard and ensure that solutions are sustainable, high-performing, and scalable.
Responsibilities:
Define and deliver an end-to-end technology architecture roadmap aligned with business and technology strategy.
Collaborate with Technology and Product leadership to shape and define the technology strategy and roadmap.
Lead solution blueprinting and detailed design activities.
Utilize architectural principles to design effective solutions that meet business requirements.
Ensure solutions are secure, scalable, flexible, high-performing, future-proofed, and cost-effective.
Document architecture at multiple levels and across various views (conceptual, logical, physical, data flow, and sequence diagrams).
Translate business requirements into conceptual and detailed technology solutions.
Perform third-party vendor assessments and lead proof-of-concept exercises.
Assess risk of applications and make recommendations based on assessments.
Provide guidance for structured business application solutions and implementation.
Partner with Security and Operations teams to ensure solution compliance.
Communicate the architecture to stakeholders and collaborate with domain architects on IT standards and procedures.

Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Understanding of product lifecycle management and data flows in supply chain/forecasting/inventory.
Experience in domains like retail or consumer goods (e.g., Nike, Starbucks, Gap, REI, Unilever, J&J, Ralph Lauren, Boeing).
Experience in Supply & Demand planning.
Expertise in backend data warehousing with Azure, ETL, and some C# (C# is nice to have).
Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

5+ years of experience with Cloud platforms (Google Cloud Platform or Azure preferred).
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or comparable work experience; Master's Degree preferred.
Experience with API frameworks delivering low-latency services on large datasets.
Expertise in data integration, ELT, and ETL solutions, and microservices-based solutions.
Experience designing and developing performance-optimized data models and data pipelines.
