Job Overview/Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Midwife to provide comprehensive care to women throughout pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum, as well as general gynecological care. The ideal candidate will be an experienced advanced practice nurse with strong clinical skills, a deep understanding of women’s health, and a commitment to excellence in patient care.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide full-scope midwifery care to women including prenatal, intrapartum, postpartum, and gynecological services

  • Collaborate with OB/GYN physicians and other medical professionals to provide patient-centered care

  • Educate patients on health maintenance, family planning, and childbirth preparation

  • Maintain accurate medical records and documentation

  • Perform clinical assessments and diagnostic evaluations

  • Support patients emotionally and physically throughout the childbirth process

Primary Skills:

  • Current certification to practice as an Advanced Practice Nurse in the State of Texas

  • Current Texas midwife certification

  • One year of full-time post-licensure clinical nursing experience

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills

  • Leadership capabilities to guide patient care teams

  • Analytical thinking for patient evaluation and care quality monitoring

Secondary Skills (Good to Have):

  • ACLS certification preferred

  • Familiarity with cost-control practices in healthcare

  • Ability to conceptualize and implement new systems or ideas

  • Experience in a fast-paced or multidisciplinary care setting

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of a State Board and/or NLN accredited School of Nursing

  • Graduate of a State Board and NLN Accredited Advanced Nurse Practitioner program

  • Master’s Degree required

  • Current CPR certification (ACLS preferred)
