Job Overview/Summary:
We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced full-time Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to play a leadership role in a brand new, 10-bed LDRP Level-I Nursery at a Medical Center. This position focuses on daily care and stabilization of newborns, collaboration with a nearby Level III NICU, and occasional delivery attendance.
Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive care to newborns in a Level I nursery
Conduct daily rounds on approximately 5 newborns
Attend deliveries when requested
Take call from home as needed
Stabilize, manage, and arrange transport of newborns requiring higher-level care
Coordinate with sister Level III NICU located 7 miles away
Optional PRN shifts available at Level III NICU in Gastonia
Primary Skills:
Advanced clinical skills in neonatal care and stabilization
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
Excellent decision-making and communication skills
Secondary Skills (Good to Have):
Experience with neonatal transport coordination
Familiarity with both Level I and Level III NICU protocols
Qualifications:
Current APRN national specialty certification
Minimum of a Master’s degree in Nursing
