Job Overview/Summary:
We are expanding our Lymphoedema service and are seeking a compassionate and motivated Lymphoedema Nursing Associate / Assistant Practitioner to join our team. This unique role supports individuals living with lymphoedema by delivering high-quality, person-centred care to the people of Wakefield.
Responsibilities:

Deliver treatment and therapeutic interventions to patients with lymphoedema.

Conduct unsupervised clinics for stable patients and assist in review clinics.

Educate patients and carers on self-care, skin care, and lifestyle practices.

Assess and monitor treatment outcomes, adjusting care plans as necessary.

Liaise with internal and external healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient support.

Participate in wellbeing groups and community initiatives promoting lymphoedema awareness and management.
Primary Skills:

Qualified Nursing Associate or equivalent healthcare qualification.

Sound theoretical and clinical knowledge of lymphoedema management.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Secondary Skills (Good to Have):

Experience in community or outpatient settings.

Knowledge of wellbeing initiatives and patient engagement activities.
Qualifications:

Registered Nursing Associate or equivalent in healthcare.

Demonstrated clinical competence in lymphoedema care and management.

Valid driving licence and access to a vehicle for attending external clinics and community groups.
