Job Overview/Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Formulation Scientist with hands-on experience in the formulation development department, particularly in dietary supplements, nutraceuticals, or medical foods. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with Product Development staff and cross-functional teams to support pilot batches, scale-up, and initial production runs, ensuring compliance with GMP and FDA standards.
Responsibilities:

Plan and execute pilot and scale-up batches in collaboration with Product Development (PD) teams

Collect and analyze in-process data to support manufacturing parameters and final product specifications

Provide technical support during initial production runs of new and reformulated products

Troubleshoot formulation issues and perform root cause analyses

Assist in developing new formulations for new active raw materials

Compile and summarize stability data

Provide training to manufacturing associates on new processes and improvements

Comply with GMP, SOPs, and all regulatory documentation

Collaborate across teams involved in drug discovery and manufacturing
Primary Skills:

Formulation/process development

Root cause analysis and troubleshooting

Understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing concepts

Applied knowledge of FDA regulations and GMP standards

Statistical analysis and experimental design
Secondary Skills (Good to Have):

Experience in dietary supplements, nutraceuticals, or medical food formulations

Knowledge of technology transfer and commercial support

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or related field

Prior experience in formulation development and technology transfer

Knowledge of cGMPs and pharmaceutical regulatory requirements
