Job Overview/Summary:
The Food & Nutrition Service Worker I plays a vital support role within the Food & Nutrition Department, ensuring the cleanliness, organization, and efficient distribution of food and supplies. This position contributes to patient safety and satisfaction, supports infection control and department security, and reflects the organizational mission and values.
Responsibilities:

Maintain cleanliness and organization in all areas of the Food & Nutrition Department.

Distribute food and supplies according to established procedures.

Demonstrate competencies outlined on the department’s checklist.

Adhere to performance goals and standards.

Comply with infection control, HIPAA, and safety guidelines.

Ensure professional appearance and uniform compliance.

Support patient, customer, and physician satisfaction initiatives.

Primary Skills:

Knowledge of food service procedures and safety protocols

Ability to maintain a clean and organized work environment

Strong customer service and communication skills
Secondary Skills (Good to Have):

Familiarity with healthcare food service settings

Understanding of infection control and HIPAA standards
Qualifications:

High School Graduate or equivalent preferred

1+ years of experience in a healthcare food service environment preferred

Food Handlers or ServSafe Certificate within 90 days of hire preferred
