Job Overview/Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Environmental Health and Safety Specialist who will be responsible for coordinating plans and improvements, and overseeing the operational control of an Aerospace site with a strong emphasis on identifying hazards and specialized aspects.
Responsibilities:

Coordinate plans, improvements, and operational control of the site with a focus on hazards and specialized aspects.

Ensure compliance with legal, corporate, and other interested parties’ requirements.

Provide support and advice to operational areas.
-
Monitor compliance with the Policy on site.
-
Manage the Management System.
-
Keep the legal requirements matrix updated for correct compliance and monitoring.

Carry out corresponding procedures with government agencies.
-
Guarantee adequate compliance and development of operational control, mainly on topics such as sustainability, chemical substances, ergonomics, change management, hazardous work, and emergency management.
Primary Skills:

Proficiency in health and safety regulations
-
Experience with OSHA 30 and safety training
-
Knowledge in EHS, environmental health, and OSHA safety
-
Ability to manage safety programs, water quality, and sustainable design
-
Expertise in management and legal framework
-
Understanding of chemical substances, explosive atmospheres, asbestos, and hazardous work
-
Skills in industrial hygiene, environmental compliance, chemical safety, and hazardous waste management
Secondary Skills (Good to Have):
-
Familiarity with legal framework applicable to the site
-
Knowledge of international legal references and standards

Experience with change management
-
Proficiency in event investigation methods such as 5W's+H, 8D's, and root cause analysis

Technical knowledge of personal protective equipment, emergency equipment, and operational machinery

Experience with Integrated Management Systems like ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 9001
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field

Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the aerospace or manufacturing industry

Certifications in OSHA, ISO standards, or similar preferred

Strong communication and organizational skills
