Job Overview/Summary:
The Emergency Medicine Physician is responsible for providing high-quality, timely medical care to patients presenting with acute illnesses and injuries in the emergency department. This role requires strong clinical judgment, the ability to manage high-acuity cases, and effective collaboration with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:
Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with a wide range of emergent medical conditions.
Perform medical screening examinations and stabilize patients in critical condition.
Order, interpret, and manage diagnostic tests, imaging, and laboratory results.
Perform emergency procedures and initiate life-saving interventions as required.
Prescribe medications and treatment plans in accordance with best practices.
Collaborate with consulting physicians, nursing staff, and ancillary services.
Ensure accurate, timely documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
Communicate diagnoses, treatment plans, and follow-up instructions to patients and families.
Comply with hospital policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.

Secondary Skills (Good to Have):
Experience in high-volume emergency departments
Ultrasound-guided procedures
Leadership or mentoring experience
Familiarity with quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications:
Board Eligible or Board Certified in Emergency Medicine (ABEM)
Completion of an accredited Emergency Medicine residency program
Ability to obtain Tennessee (TN) Medical Licensure in Emergency Medicine
DEA certification and ACLS, ATLS, and PALS (as applicable)
