Job Overview/Summary:

The Diagnostic Imaging Technologist – CT is responsible for performing high-quality computed tomography (CT) procedures in accordance with physician orders, departmental protocols, and established safety standards. This role ensures optimal patient care, accurate imaging, and efficient workflow within the Diagnostic Imaging & Radiology department.

Responsibilities:

Perform CT procedures as requested by referring physicians.

Demonstrate and maintain proper radiation safety practices for patients and co-workers.

Participate in all Radiology Management System functions related to patient procedures.

Provide patient education and instructions as required.

Maintain effective communication with referring physicians and radiology staff to ensure efficient delivery of CT services.

Adhere to service delivery standards of the Department of Diagnostic Imaging & Radiology when interacting with patients, visitors, and staff.

Follow accepted clinical principles, methods, and procedures while performing CT examinations.

Primary Skills:

CT imaging and diagnostic procedures

Radiation safety and patient protection

Patient positioning and image quality optimization

Clinical protocol adherence

Effective communication and teamwork

Secondary Skills (Good to Have):

Contrast administration

Experience with Radiology Information Systems (RIS)

Multidisciplinary collaboration in a hospital setting

Qualifications:

Associate’s Degree in Radiologic Technology

NYS Radiologic Technologist License

ARRT Certification
