Job Overview/Summary:
The Clinical Manager – Med Surg will oversee daily operations of the medical-surgical unit, ensuring exceptional patient care, optimal resource utilization, and high staff engagement. This role requires strong clinical expertise, proven leadership skills, and the ability to foster interdisciplinary collaboration.
Responsibilities:

Provide leadership and direction to the medical-surgical nursing team.

Facilitate interdisciplinary collaboration to ensure quality patient outcomes.

Oversee scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow efficiency.

Mentor and coach staff for professional growth and performance excellence.

Ensure compliance with clinical standards, hospital policies, and regulatory guidelines.

Act as liaison between nursing staff, physicians, and hospital leadership.

Lead meetings, set priorities, and manage project deadlines effectively.

Address operational challenges and resolve conflicts proactively.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a clinical role within medical/surgical services.

At least 2 years of progressive management experience.

Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s degree preferred.

Current RN license in applicable state.
