Job Overview/Summary:
The Clinical Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of clinical tasks including patient intake, assistance during examinations, medication administration, and laboratory procedures. This role is essential to maintaining efficient and high-quality care within the practice.
Responsibilities:

Escort patients to exam rooms and document vital signs (weight, BP, pulse, temperature)

Instruct patients on medications and diets per provider instructions

Explain treatment procedures and prepare patients for examination

Assist the provider during exams
-
Collect and prepare laboratory specimens and perform basic tests

Maintain and stock exam rooms with medical supplies
-
Prepare and administer medications as directed
-
Perform blood collections and follow OSHA safety protocols

Remove sutures and change dressings
-
Maintain logs and perform checks (refrigerator temps, emergency meds, etc.)

Triage and process patient messages to providers

Complete all mandatory training and perform other assigned duties
Primary Skills:

Secondary Skills (Good to Have):

Experience in pediatric medical settings

Proficiency with electronic medical records

Familiarity with OSHA standards and universal precautions

Knowledge of medical equipment and office tools
Qualifications:

Previous experience in a pediatric medical practice preferred

Working knowledge of computers and EMRs

Strong communication (spoken and written) skills

Ability to work independently and multitask effectively

Capable of meeting deadlines and handling details in a clinical setting
