Job Overview/Summary:
Pulivarthi Group is seeking an experienced Open-Source Ceph Engineer with 5+ years of expertise to design, implement, optimize, and troubleshoot Open-Source Ceph-based storage solutions. This role involves working on reliable storage infrastructures, improving engineering efficiency, and addressing technical challenges to drive innovative solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain platforms by leading day-to-day building, maintaining, and monitoring of system and platform technologies.
- Serve as a point of escalation, resolving complex problems requiring in-depth technical evaluation and judgment.
- Plan and implement system/platform updates to optimize performance, efficiency, and capacity.
- Support process improvement efforts, identifying and testing opportunities for automation and reducing time to deployment.
- Perform security posture evaluations, including identifying risks and implementing mitigation plans and control functions.
Primary Skills:
- Expertise in Software Defined Storage architecture (Open-Source Ceph).
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-resolution capabilities.
- In-depth understanding of Unix System Administration and Platform Engineering.
- Proven ability to collaborate with stakeholders to support technology projects.
- Knowledge of security risks and risk mitigation strategies.
Secondary Skills (Good to Have):
- Familiarity with automation tools and industry best practices.
- Exposure to global technology domain trends and innovative solutions.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Platform Engineer and Unix System Administrator.
- Experience optimizing design, technology, regulatory, and process standards.
- Strong ability to prioritize objectives and deliverables aligned with strategic goals.
- Proven leadership in resolving/anticipating technical issues and implementing impactful solutions.
