Job Overview/Summary:
Pulivarthi Group is seeking a highly skilled AS400/RPG Analyst/Developer for a remote, 6-month contract role supporting our client based in Texas. This position will initially focus on our client's modernization project. Should the first phase go well, further iterations may be extended. During the modernization process, the role will focus on non-modernization work to ensure the continued success of our client's development roadmap.
Responsibilities:
- Support the development and maintenance of AS400/RPG systems.
- Collaborate with the team to execute the initial 6-month phase of the modernization project.
- Work on non-modernization development tasks to maintain project timelines.
- Utilize RPG, SQL, APIs, and stored procedures to deliver high-quality results.
- Collaborate with developers and other IT professionals to enhance system functionality.
Primary Skills:
- Strong proficiency in RPG, RPG ILE, and iSeries/AS400 platforms.
- SQL experience, including stored procedures.
- Knowledge of API development and integration.
Secondary Skills (Good to Have):
- Experience with modernization projects or environments.
- Familiarity with team collaboration in a remote setting.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience working as an RPG developer or similar role.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
