Job Overview/Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Ansible Developer experienced in developing automation solutions to manage Linux and Windows servers. The candidate will play a crucial role in supporting, developing, and deploying automation scripts and configuration tools, working closely with cross-functional teams to improve overall platform efficiency and performance.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, fix defects, and support releases (70-80% focused on development).
- Write scalable, secure, and maintainable code to enhance the clients' platforms.
- Create, deploy, and maintain automated system tests.
- Collaborate with Testing Teams to address defects or issues and resolve them efficiently.
- Support continuous improvement efforts by investigating alternatives, technologies, and presenting them for architectural review.
Primary Skills:
- Experienced Ansible developer, proficient in automation for managing Linux and Windows servers.
- Proficient in automation and configuration management tools (Ansible, Python, Bash, Powershell).
- Strong experience with Linux and Windows System Administration.
- Solid understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, switching, routers, firewalls).
- Experience using and developing scripts with Ansible and Ansible Tower for provisioning and configuring servers, services, applications, and security.
- Proficient in API development.
- Basic knowledge of version control systems (Git, SVN).
Secondary Skills (Good to Have):
- Ansible Tower experience.
- Proficient in Python, Bash, Shell scripting.
- Experience providing REST/SOAP APIs for user interface consumption.
- Experience working within an Agile development methodology (Scrum).
- Experience with C++, Java, or JavaScript is a plus.
