Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced AIX Admin with over 10 years of experience as a DBA-cum-Developer, specializing in PL/SQL, Shell Scripting, and database management. The role involves working with database versions 8.x/9.x/10.x or newer, with a strong focus on data warehousing, ETL processes, performance tuning, and database security. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Solaris, Unix, Linux, and Windows system administration, as well as a deep understanding of database backup and recovery processes.
Responsibilities:
Manage and develop databases with extensive experience in PL/SQL and Shell Scripting.
Perform performance tuning at both the Database and OS levels.
Handle Data Modelling, Physical Database Design, and Database Backup and Recovery processes (RMAN).
Administer systems including Solaris, Unix, Linux, and Windows, focusing on installation, upgrades, and maintenance.
Implement and maintain database security, including user and role management and privilege assignments.
Perform technical troubleshooting and provide consultation to development teams.
Setup and maintain documentation and standards.
Plan for growth and capacity changes, ensuring alignment with remote DBS support SLA’s and metrics.
