Job Overview/Summary:
Pulivarthi Group is seeking a skilled Wind Collection Electrical Engineer with expertise in designing and analyzing medium voltage systems (typically 35 kV) for renewable energy projects. This role involves performing complex calculations, developing technical documentation, and collaborating across disciplines to deliver high-quality, coordinated designs. The ideal candidate will possess significant experience in medium voltage collection system design and a strong proficiency with industry-standard tools and codes.
Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive medium voltage system design, including:
- Underground cable thermal analysis
- Electrical loss analysis for conductors and transformers
- Short circuit and effective grounding calculations
- Electrical safety grounding (touch and step potential)
- Fiber optic loss calculations
- Load flow, reactive power, and harmonics analysis
- Arc flash analysis
- Review interconnection requirements for utility-scale renewable energy projects.
- Develop technical specifications for Balance of Plant equipment.
- Prepare bills of materials for electrical installations.
- Create installation instructions and construction drawing details.
- Coordinate with civil, structural, geotechnical, and environmental teams to produce integrated designs.
Primary Skills:
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in medium voltage collection system design for renewable energy or underground medium voltage power distribution.
- Basic proficiency with AutoCAD.
- Strong proficiency in Cymcap software for underground thermal analysis.
- Expertise in electrical power system analysis tools such as Digsilent Power Factory, ETAP, or similar.
- Basic familiarity with safety grounding analysis tools like WinIGS or CDEGS.
- Strong understanding of NEC and National Electrical Safety Code.
- Knowledge of industry and technology trends related to wind turbine generators and wind collection design.

- Strong technical writing and documentation capabilities.
- Effective collaboration and communication skills for interdisciplinary coordination.
