Job Overview/Summary:
We are looking for a VisionPLUS Developer with 5+ years of relevant experience to join our remote team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with various VisionPLUS subsystems, particularly in the CMS module, along with strong skills in Cobol, batch processing, and payments/card systems.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and support CMS Posting in VisionPLUS, ensuring the efficient processing of transactions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and support functionalities across various VisionPLUS modules
- Work on payments and credit card processing platforms for multiple banks using VisionPLUS
- Utilize POCO, Atomic, and Functional services within VisionPLUS for various implementations
- Debug and troubleshoot using Xpeditor and work with Cobol in both batch and online environments
- Manage and configure batch schedulers such as Control-M or OPCT
- Support the VisionPLUS system hosted on Microfocus Linux platforms (optional)
- Utilize skills in JCL, VSAM, and CICS to ensure smooth operations of the VisionPLUS applications
Primary Skills:
- 5+ years of experience with VisionPLUS, particularly in the CMS subsystem
- Expertise in CMS Posting processes
- Proficiency with POCO, Atomic, and Functional services
- Payments and card processing experience
- Strong Cobol skills (60% batch, 40% online)
- Experience with Xpeditor for debugging
Secondary Skills (Good to Have):
- Experience with Vision 10
- Familiarity with batch schedulers (Control-M, OPCT)
- Knowledge of VisionPLUS on Microfocus Linux platforms
- Skills in JCL, VSAM, and CICS
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Proven track record of VisionPLUS development and support, with emphasis on CMS/FAS and VMX applications
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment
