Job Title: Travel ICU Registered Nurse

Job Overview/Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Travel ICU Registered Nurse to join a high-acuity hospital ICU setting serving adult to geriatric patients. The ideal candidate will be skilled in managing critically ill patients requiring advanced monitoring, ventilator support, and continuous infusion therapies. This role involves working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and providing comprehensive bedside care in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity ICU environment
Manage patients on ventilators and arterial lines (A-lines)
Titrate continuous infusions including sedation, pain medications, paralytics, and vasopressors
Participate in multidisciplinary rounds with intensivists, pharmacists, respiratory therapists, and other care team members
Transport patients to diagnostic areas (e.g., CT) alongside support staff when required
Monitor patient conditions and respond promptly to changes in status
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Float within the facility or to a sister campus based on unit needs
Adhere to all hospital policies, protocols, and safety standards
Primary Skills:
ICU patient care expertise
Ventilator management
Arterial line (A-line) monitoring
Titration of continuous infusions (sedation, vasopressors, paralytics, pain medications)
Critical thinking and rapid decision-making
Patient transport in critical care settings
Secondary Skills (Good to Have):
CRRT management (with demonstrated competency)
Experience working in high-volume ICU settings
Strong collaboration and communication skills
Familiarity with multidisciplinary care models
Qualifications:
Active Georgia (GA) or Compact RN license required
Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience required
Proficiency with Epic EMR required
Demonstrated experience with ventilator management and A-lines
Proven ability to titrate continuous infusions
CRRT competency required for candidates who will manage CRRT patients
Two supervisory references (manager level or above preferred; charge nurse references not accepted)
