Job Overview/Summary:
The Surgery Center Administrator oversees all aspects of daily operations at the facility, ensuring effective coordination among departments, compliance with governing standards, and smooth collaboration between medical and administrative teams. This role requires a strong leader with healthcare management experience and excellent communication skills to maintain high standards of service delivery and operational excellence.
Responsibilities:

Manage the daily operations of the surgery center.

Serve, along with designated committees, as a liaison between the Governing Board, Medical Staff, and all facility departments.

Report pertinent facility activities to the Governing Board at regular intervals.

Appoint a responsible individual to oversee the facility in the Administrator’s absence.

Plan and implement facility services and operational strategies.

Oversee overall management of the Partnership as outlined in the Operating or Limited Partnership Agreement.

Lead discussions and presentations during Monthly Operations Review calls with the Home Office team.
Primary Skills:

Strong leadership and organizational management.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Proficiency in healthcare administration and compliance standards.

Financial and operational acumen for managing multi-departmental functions.
Secondary Skills (Good to Have):

Experience in process improvement or quality management programs.

Familiarity with healthcare accreditation and regulatory requirements.

Ability to drive operational efficiency and staff engagement.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.

Nursing or Master’s degree preferred but not required.

Minimum 3 years of experience in a senior administrative or management position within a large Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC).

Proven ability to collaborate effectively with physicians, employees, and patients.
