Job Overview/Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Managed File Transfer (MFT) Engineer with expertise in IBM Sterling Ecosystems (SFG, SSP, SEAS, B2Bi, Connect Direct) and automation processes. The ideal candidate will have over 7 years of experience supporting, optimizing, and automating MFT solutions to enhance business workflows and integrations. This role requires strong problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve system efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day support of the business application portfolio, focusing on IBM Sterling MFT solutions.
- Analyze existing systems to assess effectiveness and implement process improvements to enhance production workflows.
- Collaborate with teams to gather requirements, set expectations, and resolve challenges using standard technologies and tools.
- Develop applications, integration specifications, test plans, deployment strategies, and support mechanisms.
- Conduct gap and impact analyses, designing necessary updates, modifications, interfaces, and configuration changes.
- Document requirements, test plans, and high-level system solutions while providing technical expertise in MFT services.
Primary Skills:
- 7+ years of experience in Managed File Transfer (MFT) solutions, specifically with IBM Sterling products (SFG, SSP, SEAS, B2Bi, Connect Direct).
- Strong experience in automation and process optimization for MFT environments.
- Proficiency in system integration, workflow design, and troubleshooting MFT-related issues.
- Hands-on experience with application deployment, testing, and support in enterprise environments.
Secondary Skills (Good to Have):
- Knowledge of security protocols and compliance standards related to MFT.
- Experience with cloud-based MFT solutions and integrations.
- Strong scripting skills (e.g., Shell, Python, PowerShell) for automation.
- Familiarity with performance tuning and system monitoring for Sterling MFT solutions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in MFT engineering and IBM Sterling integration.
