Job Overview/Summary:
The Robotic Nursing Coordinator plays a critical leadership role in ensuring safe, high-quality, and efficient patient care within the robotic and surgical services environment. This role oversees 24-hour staffing coverage, supports clinical excellence, and serves as a key liaison among patients, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities:
Determine staffing needs and create schedules to ensure 24-hour coverage of patient care services.
Supervise patient assignments and allocate nursing staff based on patient acuity, care needs, and staff skill mix.
Serve as a clinical consultant to patients, families, department staff, physicians, and other hospital departments.
Collaborate with leadership to troubleshoot clinical and operational issues.
Participate in the recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of operating room and robotic nursing staff.
Plan, coordinate, and deliver clinical education, including orientation for new hires and ongoing staff development.
Provide guidance and support to students and faculty in clinical settings.

Qualifications:
Minimum Required:
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
Current New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License
CPR certification within three (3) months of hire
Completion of professional certification in the relevant specialty as soon as eligible (typically after two years in the specialty)
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) or evidence of planned completion within two (2) years
Minimum of three (3) years of clinical nursing experience
Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN)
Previous experience in a relevant nursing practice setting
Prior supervisory or leadership experience
Current professional certification in the relevant specialty
