Job Overview/Summary: We are seeking a skilled Rhapsody Developer to join our team. This role focuses on designing, implementing, and maintaining data integration solutions using Lyniate Rhapsody software to support critical data exchange processes. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in Rhapsody, HL7 standards, and advanced querying, along with a background in data security and compliance standards such as CDC, HIPAA, and PHI.
Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and maintain integration solutions using Lyniate Rhapsody (v6+). Work with HL7 messages (v2.3.1 to 2.5.1), XML, XSD, and XSLT for effective data transformations and messaging. Write advanced T-SQL queries, stored procedures, and optimize database performance. Design and manage web services using REST, SOAP, and WSDL. Utilize JavaScript (ECMA/E4X) for scripting and customization within integration workflows. Resolve complex problems through critical thinking and effective communication. Ensure compliance with security and data classification requirements (CDC, HIPAA, CJIS, PHI, PII). Collaborate with technical peers, vendors, management, and users to ensure seamless integration solutions.
Required Skills: Lyniate Rhapsody Software (v6+). HL7 (v2.3.1 – 2.5.1). XML / XSD / XSLT. MS T-SQL (stored procedures, advanced queries, optimization). Web Services (REST, SOAP, WSDL). JavaScript (ECMA/E4X). Critical thinking skills and problem resolution. Experience with security and data classification related to CDC, HIPAA, CJIS, PHI, and PII. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with technical staff, vendors, and end-users.
Secondary Skills: Solid background in data integration, staging, quality, and distribution. Experience with public health, disease surveillance systems, or LIMS. Familiarity with LOINC / SNOMED standards. Experience with DevOps and Jira. Ability to establish positive working relationships with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
