Job Title: RF Engineer

Job Overview/Summary:
Pulivarthi Group is seeking an experienced RF Engineer with software development expertise to join our electronic warfare (EW) science and technology (S&T) lab. This position focuses on developing system/signal of interest (SOI) models, integrating third-party models, and evaluating electronic attack (EA) countermeasures. The role directly contributes to the protection of Army platforms and personnel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and integrate system/signal of interest (SOI) models.
  • Collaborate with intelligence and mission partners to develop and assess electronic attack (EA) countermeasures.
  • Conduct laboratory testing, including direct-inject (wired) testing.
  • Utilize and program software-defined radios and related technologies.
  • Maintain active relationships with the intelligence community to stay informed on RF-enabled systems of interest.
  • Travel as required to support tests and demonstrations.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of experience, Master’s degree with 3+ years of experience, or PhD with 0 years of experience in a relevant field.
  • Expertise in software development processes for creating and integrating system models.
  • Hands-on experience in RF lab environments.
  • Proficiency with software-defined radios (e.g., Ettus, Epiq), GNU Radio, and/or firmware programming.
  • Advanced MATLAB skills, including experience with Simulink and toolboxes such as DSP, signal processing, and radar.
  • Solid understanding of commercial communication protocols.
  • Programming proficiency in Python, MATLAB, VHDL, and C++.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with open/modular architectures and frameworks such as MOSA and CMOSS.
  • Experience with common/collaborative framework environment (CFE) EW framework.
  • Expertise in creating containerized software packages (e.g., Docker, Podman).
