Job Overview/Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join a High-Risk Cardiology unit. This role involves providing specialized nursing care to patients with complex cardiac conditions while working in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. The position supports professional growth through the BJC Registered Nurse Career Ladder, enabling nurses to practice at the top of their license while advancing their careers.
Responsibilities:

Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients with high-risk and complex cardiac conditions.

Monitor cardiac rhythms, hemodynamic status, and patient responses to treatment.

Administer medications, therapies, and interventions in accordance with physician orders and clinical protocols.

Collaborate with cardiologists, interdisciplinary teams, and support staff to develop and implement patient care plans.

Educate patients and families on disease processes, treatment plans, and post-discharge care.

Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation.

Participate in quality improvement initiatives, patient safety efforts, and service excellence programs.

Practice in alignment with hospital policies, nursing standards, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license

Minimum experience as required for High-Risk Cardiology (experienced RNs preferred)

BLS required; ACLS preferred or required based on unit policy
