Job Overview/Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse – Orthopedics to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced orthopedic unit. The RN will be responsible for delivering safe, effective, and patient-centered nursing care while collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to support optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

Report for scheduled shifts on time and prepared to assume responsibilities.

Attend and actively participate in meetings; responsible for understanding and acting on information communicated.

Adhere to Corporate, Regional, hospital, and departmental policies and procedures 100% of the time.

Assist patients, family members, physicians, visitors, and employees in a professional and courteous manner.

Follow Infection Control procedures at all times.

Deliver direct nursing care to orthopedic patients according to established standards and protocols.

Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure continuity and quality of care.

Primary Skills:

Clinical nursing skills in orthopedic care

Patient assessment and care planning

Infection control and safety practices

Professional communication and teamwork

Time management and organization

Secondary Skills (Good to Have):

Specialty certification in orthopedics

Experience in acute care or surgical units

Leadership and mentoring abilities

Qualifications:

Registered Nurse (RN) licensed in the State of Practice.

BSN in Nursing preferred.

Any previously agreed-upon effective date for obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in nursing between individuals and facilities will remain in effect, including those transitioning from the NLRN Program.

Any contract with specific timeframes for obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in nursing will supersede the above and remain in effect.

Specialty Certification preferred.

BLS certification required.

ACLS is unit dependent.

PALS is unit dependent.
