Job Title: X-ray Technician

Job Overview/Summary:

The Radiologic Technologist (XRT) will perform diagnostic imaging procedures to support clinicians in diagnosing disease and injury. This role involves direct patient interaction, technical proficiency in radiologic equipment, and collaboration with healthcare teams. Availability to work weekdays, weekends, and some holidays is required.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and position patients for diagnostic imaging

  • Explain procedures to reduce patient anxiety and ensure cooperation

  • Practice radiation protection techniques to ensure safety

  • Prepare images for review by the Radiologist

  • Assist with Medical Assistant duties for smooth patient flow

  • Attend departmental meetings

  • Complete DOT certification to perform Urine Drug Screens and Breath Alcohol Tests

  • Recommend workflow/process improvements

  • Work independently within established procedures

Primary Skills:

  • Diagnostic imaging

  • Radiation safety

  • Patient care and communication

  • Medical documentation and record handling

  • Workflow optimization

Secondary Skills (Good to Have):

  • Experience with DOT certifications

  • Familiarity with clinic administrative tasks

  • Process improvement initiatives

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree or equivalent in Radiologic Technology

  • 3+ years of healthcare experience, preferably in a leadership role

  • Current CRT certificate

  • Current CPR-BLS certification

  • Current registration with ARRT or equivalent credentialing agency
