Job Overview/Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. The Pharmacist will be responsible for ensuring the safe and effective use of medications, providing excellent patient care, and supporting pharmacy operations in a fast-paced retail or clinical environment.
Responsibilities:
Dispense medications accurately and in compliance with state and federal regulations
Provide medication counseling and patient education
Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff
Ensure proper inventory management and documentation
Maintain compliance with Board of Pharmacy and company policies
Deliver immunizations as required
Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient outcomes
Primary Skills:
Strong problem-solving and management skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to function as a team member and work well with others
Time management and task prioritization in a fast-paced environment
Secondary Skills (Good to Have):
Retail pharmacy experience
Basic accounting and computer skills
Preceptor certification by the State Board of Pharmacy
Qualifications:
BS in Pharmacy and/or PharmD Degree from an accredited School of Pharmacy
Active and in good standing Pharmacist License in the state(s) of practice
Ability to accept supervisory coaching related to performance, work habits, and attitude
Ability to perform physical aspects of the job including bending, squatting, lifting, climbing, standing, and walking for 8–12 hours
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and some holidays
Immunization certification from an accredited organization within first 90 days
Active CPR certification within first 90 days
