Job Overview/Summary:
The Pediatric Behavioral Health Specialist is responsible for engaging with referred families, providing guidance about behavioral health services, and facilitating enrollment into the Trekwise program. This role requires strong clinical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to support families navigating behavioral health resources. The specialist will conduct outreach, answer program-related questions, assist with scheduling initial sessions, and ensure accurate documentation of client information while maintaining a supportive and professional approach.
Responsibilities:
Contact referred families within one business day via text message, phone, and email following established outreach scripts and communication cadences.
Conduct warm, informative phone conversations to answer questions regarding the Trekwise program, insurance coverage, scheduling, and next steps.
Schedule families for their first session using Zoom’s scheduling platform.
Accurately document all outreach activity, client information, and enrollment status in Google Sheets and Quest, the in-house platform.
Collect essential client information including parent name, email address, phone number, child’s date of birth, and mailing address.
Visit the office once per week to prepare and mail journals and teen welcome cards to newly enrolled families.
Provide a supportive and professional experience for families throughout the enrollment process.
Primary Skills:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Knowledge of behavioral health and mental health screening practices
Organizational and documentation skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain accurate records
Proficiency with digital tools such as Zoom, Google Sheets, and scheduling platforms
Secondary Skills (Good to Have):
Familiarity with client outreach and enrollment processes
Experience with CRM systems or healthcare documentation platforms
Customer service and patient engagement skills
Bilingual communication abilities (Spanish/English)
Qualifications:
Master’s Degree in the field of mental health counseling or healing arts from an accredited institution (Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or related field).
Highest clinical level of license (or local equivalent).
Experience screening for common mental health and/or substance use disorders.
Strong professional phone presence and ability to communicate effectively with families.
Comfortable using technology including Zoom, Google Sheets, and scheduling tools.
