Job Overview/Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Orthopedic Veterinary Surgeon to provide advanced surgical care and treatment for companion animals. The ideal candidate will collaborate with primary care veterinarians and hospital teams to deliver exceptional surgical services while maintaining the highest standards of veterinary medicine and patient care.
Responsibilities:
Perform advanced orthopedic surgical procedures for companion animals.
Evaluate and diagnose orthopedic conditions and develop appropriate treatment plans.
Collaborate with primary care veterinarians and internal hospital departments to ensure coordinated patient care.
Communicate clearly with pet owners regarding diagnoses, treatment options, surgical procedures, and post-operative care.
Maintain accurate medical records and clinical documentation.
Provide compassionate care to patients and maintain positive relationships with clients.
Demonstrate professionalism, sound judgment, and composure in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Contribute to a collaborative and supportive team culture within the hospital.
Uphold the veterinary code of ethics and maintain the highest standards of medical practice.

Qualifications:
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited university
Board Certification in Veterinary Surgery or residency-trained surgeon
Active veterinary license in good standing in the state of Wisconsin (or ability to obtain)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively with veterinarians, technicians, and hospital staff
Compassionate, client-focused approach to veterinary care
