Job Title: Oracle OIPA Architect and Lead (Remote)

Job Overview/Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Oracle OIPA Architect and Lead to manage complex business requirements, provide technical solutions, and lead integration projects. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Oracle OIPA (V10 or V11), strong database skills, and experience with Agile project methodologies. You will work on the evaluation, configuration, and development of insurance products for life, health, and worksite markets.

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate specifications for complex business requirements and develop technical solutions.
  • Perform functional gap analysis and review design documentation.
  • Develop complex OIPA transactions using best-practice OIPA configuration techniques.
  • Design logical queries for reporting and calculation purposes.
  • Research and correct defects, performing code reviews as needed.
  • Develop and document technical designs for OIPA integrations.
  • Implement AsFile, Real-time, and Push integration services.
  • Adhere to OIPA integration best practices and optimize data throughput.
  • Research system capabilities to integrate product, service, and technical solutions.
  • Implement REST services with proven integration capabilities.
  • Work under Agile methodologies and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Primary Skills:

  • 5+ years of experience in Development and Integrations (OIPA, SOA, MuleSoft).
  • Expertise in OIPA configuration (V10 or V11) and XSLT.
  • Strong understanding of SQL query building and optimization.
  • Insurance product configuration for life and health products.
  • Proven ability to implement REST services and develop technical solutions.
  • Experience in Agile project methodologies.

Secondary Skills (Good to Have):

  • Oracle SOA and BPM experience.
  • LOMA certification with knowledge of underwriting, policy servicing, claims processing, and more.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Math, Statistics, Finance, Computer Science, or equivalent working experience.
  • Proven experience with OIPA configuration, integration, and database optimization.
  • Strong SQL and data modeling skills.
  • Experience in life, health, or worksite insurance markets.
