Job Title: Okta Administrator

Job Overview/Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Okta Administrator to manage identity and access management (IAM) solutions, focusing on Single Sign-On (SSO) and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) integrations. The ideal candidate will have experience with Okta policies, Universal Directory, and third-party application integrations while ensuring security and compliance across all connected systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand requirements for implementing new SSO & MFA solutions.
  • Integrate custom internal applications using SAML, SWA, OIDC, and API methods.
  • Monitor imports and conduct Okta health checks in the dashboard.
  • Consult with business units to implement accurate access levels for new systems.
  • Utilize the Okta Policy framework to control user access, map identity attributes, and handle data transformations via Universal Directory.
  • Configure factor enrollments, sign-on and password policies, and application policies.
  • Provide day-to-day operational support for Okta users.
  • Integrate and manage over 300+ third-party applications within the Okta platform.
  • Continuously monitor the Okta health check and scheduled imports.

Primary Skills:

  • Strong experience with Okta Identity and Access Management (IAM).
  • Expertise in SSO, MFA, and integration with applications using SAML, SWA, OIDC, and APIs.
  • Proficiency in Okta Universal Directory and Okta Policy framework.
  • Experience in configuring authentication policies, user access, and security settings.
  • Hands-on experience with troubleshooting and monitoring Okta health checks.

Secondary Skills (Good to Have):

  • Experience integrating and managing large-scale third-party applications within Okta.
  • Familiarity with IT security best practices and compliance frameworks.
  • Scripting knowledge (Python, PowerShell, or similar) for automation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in Okta administration, SSO, and identity management.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
